To tint or not to tint.
I throw the question out to you all. Tinting or not. I do have curtains that go all the way round but I do think it gives a bit more privacy. I do like doing a few modern changes to her. I know there is a fair lot of you on here that like the original look. Myself I like both looks....

Re: To tint or not to tint.
If it's a camper, tint has more pro s than cons
Pros
It helps protect the interior from the sun
It protects the occupants from nosey buggers
It makes using the on board facilities quicker and easier
It makes stealth camping much easier
It keeps the heat out
Cons
Makes inside slightly darker,
Makes putting pointless stickers all overthe inside of your windows pointless
I have ultra limo black on mine, on all downstairs windows behind the b pillar and black roller blinds and curtains, I can park anywhere and camp and it's not obvious .

Re: To tint or not to tint.
I like the privacy side of it, and like you say pull up and low key all the way. Any idea of cost 4 back windows, 1 being the slatted opener. Rear window and two small sliders on the high top...

Re: To tint or not to tint.
If you DIY it, take your time, take plenty of care, and do it properly. All the side windows and the tailgate on the Shogun had been done - the side windows very, very well, to the point I swore blind it wasn't film. The tailgate? Like looking through dark grey bubble-wrap.

Re: To tint or not to tint.
Is the tailgate window* flat? There's a bit of an art to doing a curved window, particularly if it's curved in both planes, but the side windows should be a doddle, even more so if the glass is out.
E D I T: *on the VW I meant
E D I T: I'm assuming the side windows are flat - never checked though. I could imagine the factory fit side windows might be curved, whereas the panel van after-market glass is probably flat. Can anyone confirm?

Had mine all done in Limo Black too. very nice
to be fair though, all the glass was out at the time anyway so seemed almost rude not to....

Re: To tint or not to tint.
All the rears are flat glass on factory fit.
It cost us £190 for all the rears behind the B pillar and a replacement front screen with blue sun tint including the refitting of all the glass.
And a big pro that's not been mentioned is that it looks good.
No Cons here!

Hey Yetihair.
You said you paid £190 for all rears behind B pillar? Any chance you can let us no where.
Thanks

Re: To tint or not to tint.
Is it possible to do in camper vans such as Westies or Autosleepers? Do the wardrobes have to come out for access? There is about a 2 inch gap between wardrobe and glass.
Cheers
