Well Mally is away so while it enjoys being rubbed and scraped and covered in stuff i thought a quick run into this and using flikr so not sure how it will work ........
Im just doing bthe nsr wing lower rear 1/4. ,bottom of rear main 1/4, whatever is or isnt behind it all. slider seal lower on sill and window surround .. so.
to start bi have to align the slider as good as it can be then i have a fixed reference to align the wing , this door shut with a lift and was a fair bit out, sorry picks dont really show it , anyhowsthe rear was low and this shows 2 of the 3 bolts that secure the hinge / rollers
http://flic.kr/p/eSZuEk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
remmember which ever way you alter this hinge assembly you will get the opposite reaction,anyhows got it nice, you can sit inside and work the door to check how/if it rides up or down on the striker pin
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9109663601/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you want the lock assembly to move onto it without any hindrance, if the door lifts then you need to alter the lock assembly.the less restriction you have ther cleaner and nicer it will shut. also helps to leave the seals on for this
we now have 9mm gaps parrallel at either side of the door and it is flush with the B post and C post with the exception of the area below the lower swage, this is due to a poor slider skin repair (its out :lol: )
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9111892760/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
other end
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9109665747/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
this is the rear wing , dont look as badf as some but...........we shall soon see
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9109674567/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9111895768/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
i shall cut the rear 1/4 off in two stages, one to get to the lower inner tray and the next higher up to give good access to repair it
Oh and then theres this
http://www.flickr.com/photos/45931578@N06/9109677949/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
maybe if it had been dealt with as soon as the scab was visible then it may not have needed such drastic chopping,(its holed on the inside too) :roll:
so im back to the menthol xstals,boiling water and a towel and try to shake this cold and such as i feel crap
mm :(

Bloody hell Mike can you still get menthol crystals, was a youngster the last time I used them (hit the spot though) Cant believe how many people are down with the summer flu/cold virus.
