Putting beauty rings on without scratching painted wheels

Post by jamesandtheopenroad »

Got some beauty rings for Christmas and want to put them on this weekend but the way they secure looks like they will scratch my nicely painted steels to buggery.

Is there any way to avoid this?

My brother has a set on his splitty, he just had to scratch the wheels fitting them, they cover the scratches at least. Tries to never remove them unless really needed.
