Wanted: Campsites that allow tents as well as camper vans?

Post by MattBW »

Group of friends are looking for a campsite within 60-70 miles of Warwickshire that will allow vans as well as tents to stay for a weekend away. Child friendly preferably. Thinking Worcestershire, Cotswolds, Warks etc? Any experiences?

Any recommendations appreciated, many seem to support one or the other but not both.

I've not seen any sites apart from Caravan Club sites that don't allow a mix of units.

For a local site, try Riverside in Stratford - however does seem to be a rules driven site. A bit further afield, and an easy drive is Park Farm in Llangattock - one of my favourite sites and it won't take long to get there (a bit further than 60-70 miles I know)

There is a nice site in Slimbridge just up from the wildfowl trust and next door to a nice pub.

I'm sure it's the tudor caravan park Google it :-)

We stayed at this campsite in Wallingford last August - the only sunny weekend all summer! Jammy or what?

Lots to do, kiddie's water park and an outdoor swimming pool. Nice pubs too.

We had our camper and the rest of my family were under canvas.
