Im planning a trip back up the West Coast of Scotland again this spring and Im looking at doing abit of isle hopping. Maybe Arran, Bute, Islay, Jura and through/round the Kintyre..
Any tips, good or bad, good wild spots/campsites, best ferries?
Thanks in advance
Ian

We loved the Isle of Lewis/Harris - especially down in Harris, where there is a campsite called 'Horgabost Camping And Wild Camping';

Re: Scottish Island hopping..
We did one of the west coast last October , Sky is ace, some fantastic wild spots to camp in,
Went over the bridge because we wanted to travel up from Fort William for the scenery, and came back over the bridge too, as the ferry to Harris was not going to fit with our timescale , we wouldn't have had enough time over there to be worthwhile, we went across to Inverness and down to Lochness ( just to say we had, wouldn't bother again frankly) but then after dropping down to Fort William again, we decided to cut across to Mull which has some fantastic wild camping
Part two this year.......
