Re: tight fitting 1/4 light seals
If they are genuine OE items they should go in without a probelm, though its been mention here before that aftermarket seals are often problematic
I wouldn't try hot water as I would image that would make them expand a little, but try fitting at room temp and put some tyre lube - what they use to fit new tyres and then try again.
Failing that, send them back and buy originals; at least they shall fit.

Re: tight fitting 1/4 light seals
Hi, recently replaced quater light bar and fixed seal on mine got from heritage/jk so probably same ones, anyhow I used silicone based lubricant sprayed on then wipe off excess As not sure if silicone residue should be left in seal window etc. Then push on as far as you can then place block of wood against bar and slowely tap it into place took a while and a bit of perserverance but fitted nice and snug in the end.. Be careful not to hit to hard !!

Brute force really, not very technical I'm afraid!
