Colour idea's

Hi, I'm about to embark on the long, tedious, soul destroying and yet liberating experience of re-painting my bus. Only soul destroying because of the abuse I'll get for spending hours on it The below photo really doesn't do justice to how many scratches and patina the body work has..


I was thinking of going for RAL 2000 but I don't want to end up looking too RAC... Or maybe 1037

Has any one else gone for similar colours? Or think I should go for a particular colour? I need some inspiration.

Ah I see you're a designer as well, so you probably get my issues with colour. It's all a bit like a tattoo, I need to pick the right colour early on and get used to the idea I think.

Seems like a good idea but it is hard to visualise it. I might faff around with some photoshop layers or something.

Also been using http://www.ralcolor.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which is the colour system I have to stick too.
