Post by marlton67 »

Hi a straight forward question:

Can I fit a solex carb of a 1600 air cooled t25 its german made with numbers 34pict-4 to my 1970cc (1982 Year) Air cooled t25 as my carbs a no good and the mechanic is having trouble finding a new set for under £200 (inc fitting and tuning). I do not know enough about it to do it myself. as this one is on EBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251114501688? ... 1423.l2649
Regards
Ian

No, you'd have to make a custom inlet manifold in order to make it fit and even if you did, I suspect the carb would be too small, or at least need modification.

You need the Solex 34-PDSIT-2/3 (2 is left, 3 is right).

34-PICT-4 is for a 1600 CT engine (and some others).
