Re: Help! I just bought a Syncro
Thanks again for your comments
Syncropaddy, here are some pictures of the whole van, let me know if you need photos of anything else. As I mentioned before there are two air vents towards the middle and rear seats.
Jed the Spread, not too worried about return of investment as it would be something i intend to keep for a very long time, £15,000 cost as has been suggested is still cheaper than a new Mondeo estate that will be worth a fraction of its initial cost in 5 years. (and who wants to drive around in a Mondeo)
lloydy, I have had a good look underneath and all the running gear seems to be there. Though knowing my luck..........
I have also added a couple of pictures of underneath.
Anybody know where I can source a jacking points and an out rigger?

Yep, a converted panel van
Good luck with the welding, looks like there is enough to keep you busy for a while.

Where's that wheel carrier from.

Wheel carrier looks like a ortec one.
Work well no matter what the neigh sayers might think.

Re: Help! I just bought a Syncro
This is a RHD Syncro, and you're encouraging him to scrap it? That's a bit rash, I think.
Get it looked at by someone who knows what they're doing, and then if cash is short, budget only to get through the next MOT. So that's sills, jacking points (possibly), and anything else the tester man wants sorted. Once it's MOT'd, you can either run it for a year while you sort sort out whichever bit is the next most urgent - or you can sell it on with a certificate. Up to you.
Don't panic though - take a deep breath, get it tested, see what you need to do.
