Best (but economic) Battery Charger

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good reasonably priced battery charger for the leisure battery please.

check when lidl or aldi get the smart chargers in they are very good.

Lidle sell a version for £15 like the C-tek which is £49.99
keep an eye out for them as they go quick once Lidl stock up

To plug in to your leisure battery each time you are home from a camp? then yes the little Ctek (clone) charger would be fine... but expect it to take anything from 3 to 7 days to fully charge the leisure battery, depending on it's capacity. These particular chargers are good for 're-conditioning' batteries over several days but their low output makes them unsuitable as a 'supply charger' whilst camping as in heavy discharge situations ie; running a stereo & lots of lights, the battery will still go flat (simple maths...more being taken out than is being put in).

As a permanent fixed charger that works with the hookup? then at only 3amps the lidle charger probably isn't powerful enough to keep up with average camper discharge.

You need to be looking at dedicated leisure chargers of at least 6amps (10amps ideally) that have 'float charge' facility (the ability to sense when the battery is fully charged and switch to a very low settng that can be left permanently plugged in).
