Is 'kitchen' side the drivers side? Coz it has the cupboards cooker etc on the passenger side. Why is one side more prone 2 rust than the other? Sorry I'm sure that sounds like a newbee question. It's a twin sliding door if that makes a difference.

The kitchen side (non sliding door side) is more prone to rot due to condensation forming because of the fridge. It has a tendancy to rot the floor panel/side panel and sill. The chequer plate could have been put over the seam and possibly hiding some nasties, but then again maybe not. But one joob to do would be pull the fridge and units and get everything protected with something like waxoyl etc.

Thanks for that. No fridge in this one, it's more a day van than a full on camper so hopefully won't have that problem.
What would be the correct battery for for it. 1984 78ps 1900 watercooled 4spd. :?:
