Insulation

Post by Dazco »

Just got the interior stripped out, reday to start patching the holes up in the floor and cills etc.
Before i put the side panels back in(once recovered) would it be worth putting some insulaion in between the steel and the ply panels?. If so whats the best or is ordinary loft insulation ok.
Cheers Daz

Don't use the fibre(itchy) loft insulation!

Use the silver foil type and have a search on here for insulation for other ideas.

Kingspan works well. And it will fit snugly between the inner and outer panels in the back and the panel opposite the sliding door (cover all the panel and floor area with some form of waxoyl or similar though first). Can be got really cheaply if your cheeky enough to go to some building sites and ask for the offcuts :run

yeah insulation all good , but make sure you waxoyl all the cavities , prob at least anoth £100 on the bill

or your insulation will be of little use with all the air vents(rust holes) that will be created from sweat
