looks really smart mate. cant believe it looks like that from how it started. hats off to you.
i like the brighter white over the brown. i would have liked to use some original colour but i thought sod it, i am only gonna do this once ( hopefully )

Well a year or so has passed and Im happy with how its fared, the seams have held up well enough

I have been a bit lazy though as I damaged a couple of places and was too lazy to attend to it and so

rust showing . same on the bother side :oops:
Tailpipe fell of a few months ago so had an hour and removed silencer and tail bit and cleaned up the flange and found a bit of exhaust with a bend

forgot to switch off the soft start on the welder so a bit stuttery on the rustyish pipe

and fitted

appart from that the vans been going well, just serviced it today ready for hols in lincs/norfolk and suffolk in a few weeks time.

1.6na, I got mit with 3k on the clock (new engine) so whilst I have a 1.9 to fit am leaving it for now

Yeah, mines a 1.6na as well. Need to do a good bit of work to get her roadworthy though....replace the rusty steel water pipes, replace rusty core plug (hole in it!), not sure what else, but probably heater plugs at the very least...have to turn her over for a while before she starts at the moment.

yep heater plugs make an awful difference :shock: water pipes fit plaggy ones and forget them, always something to do nthough isnt there

Thank for posting up that last lot of pics, I would never have seen this thread otherwise being a newbie.

Once I get right into mine I will be asking you a few questions, mainly regarding the leisure gas tank and the water tank with heating.

Brilliant thread and a great name for the colour, the members did well to come up with that......when I came to that bit I though 'Mocha' but arabica is so right and complements the name of the white as well.

Why do we not have 'bow down and worship' smilie????
