front bench seat conversion

Post by gdaddy1980 »

Hi i have just become the proud owner of a vw t25 and i am in the process of a full interior re-vamp. The problem i have is whilst carrying out this we are now going to welcome a new addition into our family which already consists of 4, so another seat is needed. Iwas looking to go down the route of putting a bench seat in the front to allow 3 seated up front. I am looking for any advice availible on this conversion or any links or photo's which may help with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated and in the future i would be able to upload some photos of my progress....Thank you once again....Gareth. :ok

That would be cool - keep us posted if you manage to pull that off :ok
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it!

You can fit strengtheners to the corners/sides of a factory double-seat to keep it upright. The double seat fits straight onto the runners.

With the strengthening issue, I take this is not necessary if the bench seat supports it's self I.e if it was a transit bench seat which does not need support.....thanks guys for your replies by the way...
