Is this pipe supposed to meet with the hole?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Is this pipe supposed to meet with the hole?

Post by macthemaths »

When I was under the van the other day I noticed something that looked like it ought to be sticking in to something else.

I took a few pictures because I haven't convinced myself that I have found it in Haynes.

The pictures are taken with my head towards the front of the van and it is on the driver's side.

Does anyone know what it is and whether it is knackered?

With thanks,

Chris

Re hole

The pictures show the fuel pump, it's hard to see clearly, but I think you are talking about the fuel pump breather pipe situated to the side/under the fuel pump. See top of page 66 in your Haynes manual pic # 5.1

If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about it, it sometimes does come out of its hole.

Thanks. Checked out my Haynes and it looks to be the one.

I knew that the forum would come up trumps!

Cheers,

Hi,

Many thanks Club 80-90. I was having the same headache. Hose went through the hole in my case but then stopped mid-air. Thought I'd been a fool and disconnected it somehow, but couldn't see where it attached to.

...I'll keep looking for the fuel leak then! :? Gonna buy some decent hose and replace the lot.
