Hi,
Anyone know if this will fit?
I assumed it would be the 1Y - but this one's code is DFX? It has gearbox and all ancillaries.
I have searched the wiki and the forum but can't find a reference to this engine code. I even searched Brick-Yard forum and did a few google searches - it has me stumped.
advice gratefully received - not much fun driving up suttomn bank in mine at the mo - just a few extra horses required...

Hi Kemlo
I may be wrong but...
A caddy of that vintage should have a 1.9 SDi engine with an AEY engine code.
The only think like DXF is BXF but it is a much later engine 1.9 TDi fitted to golfs, tourans, Seats etc etc from 06 - 09 approx.
Dunno if this is much help!

Cheers for that - just curious to see if it will fit - it's on Ebay at the moment, but it's been re-listed a couple of times now - I suspect if it did someone would have snapped it up by now.
Re: SDi Engine 98 Caddy
anything can be made to fit but is it really worth the hassle with only a measly 60bhp
