Fuel tanks

A quick question for you all. Iv had a search and nothings come up.

Are petol and diesel tanks the same?? Im converting my Doka from petrol to diesel.

yup!....but there are various types...
Early large filler neck (metal)
Late small filler neck (plastic)
Late small filler neck (plastic) but with swirl chamber and larger fuel outlet (injection models)
Syncro...different again.
What petrol engine is in there? injection or carb?

dg carb'd with plastic filler. Its an 86. I have a single cab im breaking. A reg. and the tank looks newish so want the tank from that if its the same. Not sure what filler that has but its a dg engine.

Hmmm..A reg could be metal filler but as far as petrol/diesel goes pretty sure they were the same.
