Accelerator peddle

Post by stellartios »

Hello, I have a 1.7 Diesel with lots of jobs to do, only had it two weeks!

One thats bugging me is the acccelerator peddle, I have seen the sets on Just Kampers and ordered a new peddle, the one on now is held in place by a brass door hinge!!!!

Is it normal for the push rod to come out of its setting? Do I need the whole kit if this is happening? Has no one come up with a better solution for this.

Its not caused massive problems so far but can see it being a future problem.

Thanks, Steve.

Hi, Yes I have the same `brass hinge` repair and mine does the same - I think because the hinge doesn`t hold the pedal securely and the only solution is to replace it
Regular naps prevent old age..... especially if you take them while driving.

Hi
Did you get your peddle sorted?
Mine has just snapped off.
Do you know where I can get the replacement part from?

Thanks

Jody
