Hi, got myself a westfalia swivel base. looks like one i have to weld on, does any one have a picture of theirs welded in? just so i've got it straight in my head when the welder comes out.
Also the back of mine has a threaded hole, whats it for?

it sits between the current rails. Weld along the sides where it touches.
If you have the long battery tray cover you will need to get a short one or you won't be able to open it.
When positioning the base it should line up at the front edge and the short battery tray should only just miss when being opened.

I know that! Was just showing the overhang of the top section, I don't know if I have the short battery lid.
With it fitted like the picture, the base fits between lid and end of seat box if you know what I mean

i've got 9 inches
the base still fits in though
but the seat does need rotating for it to clear the lid. the swivel part of seat base overhangs seat box at front by about an inch
cheers for pics

seat runners should be in the same place.
just make sure ALL your carpets are removed and open the doors so there are no weld splat holes!
