How Cold Should It Go?!

Post by Splurt »

Hey all,

I'm brand new to T25 ownership and am still getting used to all the little bits and pieces so sorry for a basic question.

I have a 3way electrolux fridge on a 1990 Westy. When run on gas should this cool enough to produce a frost on the metal fins inside the fridge? Mine gets cool but not quite frosty.

Cheers
Ryan

Surely it won't get frosty unless it has a freezer compartment?

On gas or mains our fridge gets ice on the fins.

when they are running at ful efficiency they can produce ice. Theres a number of things you can do to improve them, clean out or replace the gas burner, Hoover out all the dust round the back, check for blockages in exhaust (ie rust)

Brilliant, never been so happy to see miniature ice cubes!! I think levelling the van did it, i hadn't been on much of a slope to begin with but seems to make a big difference.

Thanks again
