sorry, forgot to put about the bed.
i had the original devon one sand blasted and powder coated but instead of the wood, i cut some metal and shaped it the same, had that powder coated and riveted it on. took ages measuring them all out correctly and the hands were aching like hell by the time i had finished pumping all of em in. i could have almost bought a new one for the price of the coating and everything but i really like the sterdiness of the original one as it has the metal base. also like the chunky mechanism as well. plus it is now a one off. ( probably not, but i like to think that :D )

That's really nice, I do like it.

And I do love that lower blue colour and I reckon thats the one we will opt for on our vagen too. [Thanks for giving me the paint code too, by the way :) Seeing as its got nice new blue check curtains fitted, why not!

finished trimming the roof with all the carpet. thought this was going to be a hard job and was genuinly worried about it. my advise is, just go for it and it will all come good 8)
first the easy bit

then got all confident and went for it in the back.

Looks really classy, you asked for comments  well this is a comment and NOT a critisism, the door cards look to me just a touch too blue that is, all blue but when carpeted will look different, I would have broken it up a touch with say a contrasting elbow rest?
nothing wrong with the pickies and after being in some poptops including my own that were , err fusty your certainly isnt.

cheers for the comment bud. hopefully the carpet will break it up. i am doing it in the grey stuff i did the rest in. i know what you mean though. looks really harsh with a blue floor in them pics. struggling in what to do the floor in the back. really like the checker board vinyl but dont know if the balck n white will look any good. will have a better look closer to the time.

Thats a real difficult one, the front will work no probs but the rear, black and white whilst I like it I dont think it will work, your introducing something that is not part of the theme, had you thought about stripes as in 4" or larger going from fore to aft, maybe in 2 shades of blue with a white stringer let in every other one or less, just a thought its easier when your there in the flesh so to speak,

I like the carpet on the roof...looks really good..... I might try that on my tintop as an alternative to putting in a perforated vinyl headliner.

Aye but make sure you use the right contact adhesive and let the bu**er dry down before fitting.Ive rushed them in the past and the heat of the roof causes them to droppppppppppp

i used a heavy duty contact adhesive. not that stuff from carpet right. comes out like silly string. :D
mega sticky as well as the dog found out when i had the nozzle pointing the other way by accident and covered him. had to give him a bit of a hair cut. :rofl
just do a bit at a time and make sure you get it right into all the lumps and bumps. found it worked best if you applied it to the van and the carpet.
defo gonna leave ther vinyl till last. it is only an hour or so to lay it so no point in doing it yet.

That van looks amazing! What a transformatation!!!

I like what you have done with the interior too, all new and fresh and great colour combo. Cant wait to see it for real one day. When doing my interior I too thought about using kitchen carcasses but I thought Id be a clever bugger and do it all myself! (kinda wish I hadnt now)

Anyway, great job sir, you the Mrs and the dog should be proud, despite the glue mishap! :ok
