I did mine, but just did a patch job as i'm LHD as apposed to replacing the panel, turned into such a big job when I got the glass out I kind of wish I had replaced the lot.
To do it properly you need the dash out as well as the glass.replace the panel, prep and paint then dash back in before the glass is fitted.I have some pics i can post up....
Is this a hobby or just an obsession???

Its a fairly straight forward job. Did mine not long ago. Easy enough but as said need to take dash out etc to do it right.

Panel is £80-£120 these days and not easiest thing to replace due to all the dash stripping as well as access. My Caravelle had whopping dent there (looked as though previous owner had nudged a lamp post) but after much umming and ahhing, decided to pull the dent out a little and fill it. Not ideal but better than it was.

Looking at yours, think I'd just rebuild the lip to be honest.

All very timely this is folks......

Sunday morning found proper roof-rack at boot sale
Sunday afternoon more info about doing the job
Sunday evening told I should be getting a working engine to put in it 8)

Right, so fit engine ,get mot/tax/insurance then repair front panel :ok
