When I had my fridge out I found that the gas wasn't very good when put back in, the jet was OK and it worked OK when it was out. The cause was tiny pieces of crud in the gas pipe that were dislodged when putting it back, the cure was to flush out the pipe with wd40 and a good blast of air. The pipe seemed to have a fine coating of something inside that re-blocked the jet.
