two old press photos... (and some more)

Post by Boltze »

these days I searched for some photos in my press photo box, and I found two early syncro press photos from Great Britain. Maybe one of you own one of this right hand drive syncros?

Oh wow, 1986 this can be true. I don't know if Volkswagen only puts the plates for the photos on the vans, maybe fantasy plates?

This was my first syncro, bought in 1988 or 9, this is me driving it in 1991.

The URP bit of the reg is VW Uk's reg for Milton Keynes based headquarters.

It was a demonstrator used by VW for the dealer network.

Sadly was written off on the M1 junc 7 in 1995

I see that the other URP one is a 2.1

The registration document on mine stated that it was a 2.1, but it was most definitely a DG, good for 95mph though.

Okay guys, it was your own fault  Let's colour up it a bit.

Here random pictures from my press photo treasure chest. All photos were made in the 80s and 90s from the manufacturers or Jorunalists. Some are single pictures, some are out of a picture set.

Feel free to ask me something about the pictures, maybe I can answer, maybe not.

Some great pictures there Christoph even though some of those aftermarket body bits look very odd indeed.
