First camp! Any ideas??
Hi again everyone,
I got my big red bus (named by a two year old which has now stuck) before chrisrmas. Got a cert. done on the internal elecs and equip this week. All fine and running so I'm planning a few days away in Feb (kids school break) and I'm looking for any ideas from you guys and girls. It'll be myself and Olly (age 5) so for our first get away we'd ideally be looking for a campsite in Scotland. We're in Glasgow so don't want to make a massive trip for our first. After looking on line many sites will still be closed for winter. Any ideas would be much appreciated,
Cheers,
Emma x

Hi there,
we stayed at the above site last August with our four children, we were right on the Loch side , the views were unbelievable. In fact i don't think the scenery could be any better. showers and loos absolutely spotless, nearest pub a long way away so take provisions.
cannot recommend it enough!!!!!!

Please do post up. I'm planning a trip to Petticur Bay, near Kinghorn. Got to research it first though. Went there in a trailer tent about "many" years ago, maybe a trip to Ardgarten could be within striking distance.emmagirvan wrote:Thanks,

Hi Meggles
I will post up some photo's of Petticur Bay, the touring site is fair but Advance booking can be a real pain. (some time they take booking somethimes they don't)
That said one you are there the facilites on the main site are good. The pool and Club are spot on and the beach a short walk over the road.
If you need some ideas on what to c or do give drop me a PM
If you decide to go u defo should try http://www.anstrutherfishbar.co.uk/

Re: First camp! Any ideas??
Poss going up to Cairngorms in June. Sadly, staying in a cottage Definately planning the trip tp Fife area as well though. Got a link to Petticur bay and a mate in Burntisland has said there's a big hotel there now. Probs doing Berwick on Tweed, Edinborough, St andrews etc in van. Nice to be able to do it without checking with work, or knowing I might have to cancel at short notice!!
