Yes, looking good, it's very interesting to see, especially as ours is going through the same surgery soon. I've never actually seen the procedure before I joined the forum, thanks for sharing. :ok

It's looking good! Its a good strategy, unless you do that sort of work for a living, to do the one panel at a time otherwise its easy to get overwhelmed with all the various piles of rust, dust and bits of old panel! :)

Who supplied the panels to you, may I ask?

i got the panels from VW heritage , not sure who supplies them.

i need to keep the bus on the road , so i have to do one panel at a time ... allthough it is tricky doing some of the bigger panels in a day , as there is allways rot behind that needs doing before new panel goes on.

well after using all my mig gas up on my mates car , i had to resort to somthing less descructive ... so i started fitting the central locking kit. :

pretty simple once i decided how to mount the actuators , just drilled two holes and put spacers between door and actuator., had to bend the door opener rod a little to give better clearance , ,, but all seems to work well , lock drivers door and passenger locks as well !

will do sliding door next , then will look at boot when i come around to repairing that.

pics of actuator mounted :
