LT Mirrors - Blind spot mirror ideas please

Post by ringo »

Just got a LHD LT31 and one thing i'm struggling with is not having good enough vision when turning left at junctions.

I think its a good idea to fit a blind spot mirror - however, i want a big one.

Has anyone got an photos or suggestions as to a good solution?

Was thinking about getting a smaller mirror, putting it on the mirror arm and twisting it at a different angle. However, i havent found a mirror suitable after hunting around on ebay. They are either too big or too small....

Cheers,

Ringo

A well sorted motor factors should have quite a selection of van/truck mirrors that fit on the LT arms ...they're bound to have something small-ish (small for a truck, that is) that fits your purpose ...with the added advantage that you can try it out there and then

I had a look for one after I saw the mirror that Onion had put on his heffa. Couldn't find anything suitable at the time but just had another look and I'm wondering if this would fit:

It's in Bulgaria though. Been to check the diameter of the mirror arms on our van and it's 18mm.

I bought one of these when I first got the Gypsy and it was too big, it's still in a box in the garage.

Thanks Gaz. Have you got LT mirrors on your gypsy?

Yeah it does sound a bit big to get on the arms along with the standard mirror. I emailed the seller and he reckons they can be fitted horizontally as well as vertically. Might ask Santa for one.

Just had a look at the one I've got sitting in my garage doing nothing and it swivels through 360 degrees.

It is bloody big though
