My dad priced a new panel van in 1987, still have the note for a new van costing £8826.05 on the road, this was just a basic 1.9 van unsure if this was 4 or 5 speed as both are circled.........

from the same sheet of paper copied from the transporter price list
1.9 petrol van syncro model 25067 £12782.25inc vat

1.6td van syncro model 252097 £ 13864.40

1.9 petrol syncro single cab model 246067 £12869.65

1.6td syncro single cab model 246097 £13717.20

crew cabs (syncros sold with rear windows but no rear seats!) model 248067 £14332.07 for a 1.9 petrol
model 248097 £15251.50 for a 1.6td

all only available special order, also no mention of a 2.1 litre syncro.

prices qouted for 1854r14c tyres on 5.5j wheel rims
extra price for 6 j rims of £267.95 with 205 tyres
or 290.28 for 205 snow? tyres

ALL QUOTED FROM RECOMMENDED UK PRICES FROM 1ST OF JUNE 1987

have no other prices but looks like my van would have been over 14 grand in 1991 by the time the bulkhead was priced....... :ok

I've just been looking through the paperwork for my Austrailian Syncro with a Trakka camper conversion which came, as they say "with all the fruit". I found you had to pay stamp duty on new cars and the total was 77,723 Aus$ and the exchange rate at the time was a favorable 2.52 to the £ which would have meant it cost the equivalent of £30,842.46 1990 GBP, or using the converter further up this post - the equivalent of £52,261.69 in todays money...that's more than I payed for my house
