The rear catch will be the problem, do a search on here for some answers.

My own one did this when I bought it and my rear catch was worn on the 2nd part of the locking arm. Also could just be gunked up with dried in crud/grease. Take it off, give it a good clean check that it's not showing too much wear and give it a light oil before putting it back in.

I've had a similar problem, just discovered it is only locking to the first click.

I had this problem, the rear latch, so I bought a replacement (Still have it) tried to get the old one off one screw came off easily the other wouldn't no matter how hard I hit it (very hard) now it works fine, so I would advise (well in my case) hit it very hard with screw driver with steel striaght throughand it will be fine. :D
