That's looking good. Quite a subtle colour combination you have chosen. I can't help thinking that a dark brown stripe a along the middle line would really complement that nice retro cream paintwork on the bottom and create quite a good contrast with the top half of the van. Something like this:
Are you going to paint the whole front like I did or just up to the middle line?
That dark brown stripe is starting to grow on me, maybe when i,ve painted the front of the van i will put a Vynil stripe around just to see what it looks like in the flesh
HI I'm new to the forum and have been following your guide to painting with rustoleum, unfortunately I chose Black and I'm having difficulty flatting back and polishing. I seem to get a lovely nice flat smooth surface but can't restore a nice shine to it, what am I doing wrong?
Well it was going to be white with a black roof but just as i was about to hit the buy button on the website yesterday I had a change of heart. So, after some deliberations last night and most of today it's now going to be light grey (RAL 7035) with a black roof (RAL 9005). No going back now as I've just ordered it. As I mentioned earlier in the thread it's not cheap buying it online here in Germany. 1x2.5lt tin and another 1x 750ml tin of 7035 and 1x 750ml 9005 including delivery just came to 111.48 Euros. I'm happy though!
Gave mine another coat two weeks ago. If you look back to beginning of thread its been three years (almost exactly) since I did mine. Just gave it a wet sand and went round again. May give it another in three or four years

Thanks for the links there. There is some useful information there, but I need a bit more advice.
Once I roller my final coat of paint on can I just use my random orbital sander with a buffing disk and G10 to polish my paint? Here is the sander I bought a while back. Will this sort of thing work? What's the process from final coat to completing the final polish.
