Re: LPG tanks
not possible I'm afraid the leisure gas must remain separate to the go go gas
you could use the toroidal tank for leisure... it would last for ...years

What about the big 'under the bed' tanks with the leisure take-off ? Are they now against regs ?

Ian
This sounds ominous as future plans involved just such a set up (leisure & motion) but with us retaining the water tank under the seat

Re: LPG tanks
I thought that the leisure tank and road fuel tank have to be separate Ian. revenue man etc
there are smaller leisure tanks like they fit to a westy which is underslung

Sorry Kev but you can't. motor gas tanks cannot be used as leisure tanks.
A company in the midlands used to make a dual tank, and as I've explained many times these tank fill to 80% and that goes for motor and leisure but the valvework is different between the two, the motor tank draws liquid from the base of the tank whereas the leisure tank draws from the top 20% vapour layer. These dual tanks were made to the correct 67-01 standard but the 60ltr tank was a whopping 425mm high, the only place this would fit was on a bare conversion opposite the sliding door with custom cupboards built over it, you can still find them on ebay but they take up far too much space, this is why we plumbed for the seperate tank option, motor gas inside as the type 25 does not have an adequate ground clearance for an exterior motor gas tank due to the standard but we can fit a leisure tank to the exterior as this rule does not apply to leisure bottles, however a modicum of common sense on ground clearance and tank positioning is essential, our leisure tank is a modern replacement for the Westfalia underslung tank and will fit all petrol or diesel.

Re: LPG tanks
What is the legal position for an old conversion that has...
a) 2 underslung cylindrical tanks (plus a toroidal at the spare wheel location).
b) Leisure and 'go-go' from same multi-tank set up
No way could I afford a complete new system.
Cheers
Donald.
