dunno if anyones interested but i picked up one of these at asda for only 2 pounds

they are suprisingly sturdy..just the job for my mum as she has a bad knee
better than the old step that we had as in storage purposes
and if you have kiddies the make great stools for a couple of quid

We just binned one of them as the other half broke it while we were away. Ideal for the kids but didnt find it sturdy enough for us big kids

it has took my weight easily but i would hate to think someone got hurt if the item is faulty.
it does say on the ad...
Max Load: 136kg (300lbs) so thats over 18 stone...i think
their great for seats for the kids though...as long as you dont trap their bums in the hinge
...another h and s concern

We bought one of these and have had it for about a year but the misus and mesen are both vertically challenged and neither of us weigh more than 9 stone, we havnt managed to brake it yet, and our little un loves it as a seat, climbing aid carrying toy.
So not totally useless, i seem to remember we paid about a tenner for ours so 2 or 3 quid it must be a bargain,
85 high top, home brew

sleeps 2 adults and one baby - so far
Off road (under MIG at the mo)

Not managed to break ours yet either - and before last trip screwed a flip down drinks holder to one side so it could sit between the seats with a bottle of pop within easy reach when driving... worked a treat
OK so I'm not so new anymore, but still a slack poster - where does the time go?!

Just Kampers do a heavy duty metal folding step @ £10.00. It is still available as far as I know but I can't find it on their website.

although point of note - when I said "screwed" I actually meant "bolted"! Aim between the thicker bits and then the nuts fit inside and it stll folds up the same as wot it did
