Devon Split Charge System...

Post by Poddington »

Hi,

Just a quick one...

Does anyone know whether the elelctrical system in the devon conversions charges the leisure battery when you hook up to the mains?

How do I test whether the battery is being charged?? - Trying to figure out whether the leisure battery is ruined or the charging system is knackered :?

Cheers

Ross

Hi

I have a 86 devon and it doesn`t charge the leisure battery when we are on mains hookup, i don`t know if there are different variations within the conversions that devon carried out but as i said our doesn`t.

cheers

Cheers for that, I had a feeling it didn't. Back to the drawing board!

Easiest way to check is to put a voltmeter on the battery, then connect to mains.
If you are charging the battery the voltage will go up.
