Whats up with the pierburg?

you can get a kit to overhaul it from Gower and Lee

got my pierburg for £30, spent a few hours cleaning and refurbing and now its pukka

Have to say I agree with previous comments, I had trouble with my pierburg but after a bit of research and some replacement bits. it's pretty good. Is yours a 2e2 or 2e3?

I have some annotated digital photos of some work I did on it somewhere I think if you're interested. The Haynes Carburrettor Manual is not a bad book at all and was the source of most of my info ( I borrowed it from the local library for about a year! The Haynes info in the tranposrter worshop book is a bit limited though.
