how do i fix the fuel gauge on my syncro??

I am not sure how to fix the fuel connector on the petrol tank?the connector that is on the tank has badly coroded that the needle in the fy\uel gauge is always on empty :roll: someone said to me that it was a special kind of connector thjat is only for the type 25??is this true?if so where do i get one and how do i fix it to my syncro :oops:

if you can't repair it you'll have to replace it the connector on the outside of the tank is part of the complete level sender, not a great job to do and the bits are obsolete so maybe best to live with it, zero the trip counter when you fill up and run full tanks and know that 300 miles plus you want to top up.....carry some spare fuel maybe too

What about just changing the connector that goes into the connector on the tank?this one two is badly coroded;it is really irretating when the needle is always on empty :evil: :D

yes of course you can change the plug, but you need to test the sender has resistance at the terminals too, often they corrode through and you have open circuit so no guage
