Where to get a complete N/S front arch?

Post by chuckle-bus-tom »

I've done some searching online and on here but I can only find a nearside front arch skin, not the complete thing. I recently got a complete off side arch direct from VW (at a whopping £149) but the N/S is now obsolete. It's had it in too many spots (seatbelt mount, connection to pillar and door step) to get it patched up so I'd rather replace the whole thing if I can.

Anyone know where to source one?

:tsk As I said, I'm after the whole panel (step, outer and the top), not a skin. Thanks for a link to Schofields catalogue though, I've lost my paper copy!

the skin is the only thing you will get unless you chop one off a scrapper.

Even vw-classicparts.de don't have stock of the 251 809 243 B panel

either chop a scrapper or patch up the one you have with a skin, step repair and other necessary plates

E D I T: Have you tried http://www.vwheritage.com/vwh/VW-Camper ... lateID=vwh" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Though the site lists it they may not necessarily have any in because like Schofields and the inner sills they just bought VW stock and sold them on for a markup

or http://www.customandcommercial.com/prod ... tegory=246" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
which is the same sell-on markup deal as heritage

maybe you could strike it lucky. Fingers crossed for you
