I asked brickwerks where their ones had gone last week, and was told they're awaiting longer ones at the moment, which should be available soon. Hopefully this will fit our rear-facing child seat without problems. :ok

idea for the front...wouldn't a simple seat belt extension suffice....then when you don't need the extension anymore you just put the belt back on its original mount. Seat belt extension much cheaper too, as its just a simple bit of webbing with a mount either end.

I have 2 JK ones in the back and they both fit our rear facing baby seat, one even goes through the wardrobe at the back an still fits OK. The baby seat is one thats clips into a 3 wheeled buggy from Mothercare.

My BY one wont fit around the rear facing seat (or a fat person). I was a bit dissapointed about that.

I think thats why Simon has found a longer belt - but it doesnt help me much now....

Cheers guys - good progress for someone one a sicky in bed with raving gastro.....

Alex - thanks for that - I will add to Simons list of those waiting.

Emma - good suggestion but we are already fed up of shouting to each other front to back when you want a proper conversation - and Erica gets a bit sick in the back!

Team28 - did you fit the JK belt (and is it J12743) with the belt coil at the shoulder point (behind the grille) or down behind the panel (point 4) just above the engine cover as VW and BWerk's fitting plate suggest?

OK,
Simon B thinks his longer belts will be in next week so hopefully I can get in there quick.

If anyone is interested then I will put a review up when fitted.

Sorry for the delay in replying, been working away.
I can't remember the part No. sorry, I will have a look for the box, but they came labled up as front seat belts ( poss for a Trans*ite as mentioned previously) and I have fitted them as a 4 point fitting on the off side next to the wardrobe but did it a bit diffrerent on the nearside (Sliding door side)as it was all lined with carpet and I could'nt get the panel off without wrecking it I used a reinforcing plate lower down the rear air intake. I get some pics up tomorrow if you like (may be Saturday if all goes T*ts up at work, and being a friday it proberbly will  )

I was about to splash out on a rear selt belt extension because I only have lapbelts, and wanted to fit an infant seat.
However it turns out there is no need, at least in my case, because some infant seats only need a lapbelt to attach to them to the vehicle. I think this only applies to the seats for small infants, ie. those with their own harnesses in, rather than those which the main seatbelt goes across the front of.

Right, B-Werks have got the longer one in. I have ordered it - it is on it's way.

I intend to do a pic story of the install for those had of understanding (like me!!) as this is one of the more common questions on here I find.

We hope it will go round the back of a rearward facing babyseat (if it doesn't then we can cope for a couple of months shouting at each other front to back) - and I know this is what many people look for when they have kids.
