Advice for an idiot on the heater

Post by T25rc »

I've not started using my t25 yet, so i'm useless with normal things.

I don't know how to turn the heater on (though how does it work on them, fan off the engine?) When should it work, all the time/engine running/moving etc?

Its the same as in this pic, what do "one triangle" and "two triangles" mean lol where do i put the sliders?

Top leaver is windscreen, next one hot/cold, next one feat (triangles point up and down), 4th one (only on passenger models) is rear air vents above window/slider. Its cunningly designed so if you slide all to the right you get all the hot air on the screen for demisting, which is what the funny complex picture is trying to explain.

Hows it work, air cooled is from heat exchanger off exhaust I think, how well it works depends how complete the ducting under the van is. Watercooled uses a seperate rad (heater matrix) behind dash (just like any other car) with an electric blower fan for when your stuck in traffic. Neather work if the engine is cold.

cheers for that, just what i needed - all to the right = demisting 8). Yes, it was mainly the pictures that threw me off  I'll get underneath and see if the ducting is un-holed.
