BODY STYLING PARTS FROM EBAY

Post by Kool-Kamper »

hi I have seen some body styling parts, spoiler big bumpers on ebay, very tempted. Has anyone here had any dealings with anyone one on there, is it worth my money to buy from there or should I go somewhere else (WHERE?!?). Should I go for a big euro style front bumper or just a JK front spoiler? HELP what should I do?
Thanks
by the way is anyone from here going to that show at paddock wood next month? I don't want to go a be billy no mates!

without pointing to the specific eBay item, I doubt anyone would be unwise enought o make such a general comment.. eBay is what you make of it, though with such a wide audience there's less chance of a bargain these days - and silly carriage charges often spoil any decent bargain you might get

I guess you are talking about the ex - West Country Kustoms kits that have been circulating on Ebay.

I heard (can anyone confirm?) he had gone bankrupt.

Haven't seen one to comment on the quality but its an Oettinger kit copy.

Had front and rear bumpers plus front door pods from these people a couple of months back.

Can't complain. Mouldings are of good thickness YES they need a bit of trimming and adjusting but what do you expect for the money. I'm more than happy with the kit I got from them. Their turn around was good and I got what I asked for. No real problems in fitting just a bit of common sense Whats the problem

if people want to buy kits and pay that sort of money when they can be made cheaper ( about half) and of much higher standard by a skilled city and guilds specialist i might start making them myself( if i get enough orders)but heres a warning if it has small bubbles on panels ,when weathers hot, this shows that the air has not been removed from the glass (rushed)and a large amount will be expensive to repair

Generally, things are sold for what people will pay. Production costs are just the starting point for figuring the price out, and often about half the sale price. If these are known to be poor, then that will become evident, but if you're suggesting you're going to sell at the what it costs to make them, then good luck to you - a lifetimes work is waiting around the corner :D
