Power Steering

Post by ihumphrey »

Got a 89' 1.9 Watercooled... Lovely bus! Missus is complaining that the steering is too stiff! Thinking about fitting power steering to the camper... Can this be done? If so, which power steering rack is suitable? Cheers :?

Fit a steering knob (similar to a forklift). Thats what I have on mine and I'll be honest I steer entirely with that now - makes it a breeze to nip in and out of traffic and corners are a doddle. Few pounds at most.
Roller paint your camper at home: http://roller.epizy.com/55554/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for MP4 download.

IIRC Knob on the wheel is illegal..... and how can one hand be better than 2 using the "push pull" method...

As said check tyre pressures... also good quality tyres will make a difference..

This is a very popular update and the ebay prices reflect that.

You are looking at about 600 euro for the major items if you can find them all.
