Brake bleeding sequence, LHD.

Post by wasserleaker »

Wondered if anyone knew if the brake bleeding sequence decribed in the haynes manual,
1st RHrear
2nd LHrear
3rd RH front
4th LH front
which i assume is for RH drive vans, is different for LH drive vans which obviously have the master cyl on the opposite side, or is the bleeding order the same??
ta for any help. :)

that makes sense, furthest away 1st, nearest last.....
i suppose a good look at the pipe routing underneath should show the order to do it in, thinking about it.

The master cylinder is nearly always in front of the driver (unless the vehicle has a rare remote cable or linkage system)
The stated sequence is for a L/H/D as described when sitting in the drivers seat.
So
Lefty; O/S/R, N/S/R, O/S/F & finally N/S/F (drivers side)
RR LR RF LF

Just under half the fluid through the first wheel cylinder (flushes the main bulk of the old fluid out the system) then share the remainding fluid with the other three, I like to return to the O/S/R at the end for 2-3 last pumps (but thats me)
