Hey
wondering if anyone has the instruction manual and wiring instructions for a CP3G zig unit?
the wiki page covers the CP8 which seems to be a bigger unit with more buttons.

The Wiki covers the CF8. Zigs with the prefix CP (eg CP400) are generally just distribution units and do not have any built in charging facility. How big is it? If it's just a distribution unit (Fusebox effectively) you can find out what each fuse does by removing them one at a time. If you remove it you'll see only terminals behind there - no transformer / rectifier etc.
I've googled CP3G but can't find owt. Does it look like the CP400 here http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en& ... 1&ct=title the CF8 is at the bottom of the page.........

yea looks exactly like the CP400.
Only difference is one of the previous owners added a charger to top up the batteries off the 240V hook up.
Apparently the Aux switch (3 switchs, lights, water pump and Aux) only clicks on when the engine is running to keep the fridge cool whilst driving, but may switch off again when the engines off. Does this sound right? if i wanted to add some 12V power sockets in the rear and run them through the Zig unit. I probably couldnt use the Aux switch if it works as above. any suggestions, could just take a feed off the lights switch and fuse (10A fuse so no where near that with the few lights).

the fridge shouldnt run through the control panel on 12v., unless its just the switch for the signal to switch the fridges relay.
ive just removed a cp400 from my van, and added a bigger control panel.
