Well the new cab is here and all the parts have been now swapped over from Desert Storm to the new crewwy.
I have spent the last two weeks swapping the cosworth engine over and all the suspension and fabricating the exhaust system and modifying the fuel tank (details of above on the alternative engine forum).
I am now working on the interior and after sourcing a full carpet set for it, I have began to start fitting the seats. I have decided to fit a pair of leather cosworth seats in the front and a pair of leather MR2 seats in the rear.
If has been a bit of hassle and after making a full bracket for the cosworth seat and fitting it, the thing was chuffin to high. Another chunk of hours scrapped and a new braket made, this time drilling out the spot welds of the original seats to enable the seats to be mounted as low as possible. The end result is really good and the cosworth seats in the front look the daddy. Pictures to follow.
I have to make a steel frame now to bolt the rear seats to, this will involve making a cetral box between the seats for a fridge and the box under will hold two batteries and a couple of subs.
I have made the door cards out of 6mm MDF and ordered one of the electric window conversions from Germany. I am trying to decide whether the door cars should be two colour or one solid colour.
As part of the door card build I am going o stick some big rude speakers in to give some good sound in the cab.
The project is moving along now and I am really looking forward to getting the beast on the road.
I will post a few pictures tomorrow of the progress up to now of the fit out and a couple of build pictures.

Flashes always make seats look poo.

The two leather MR2 seats I am thinking of installing in rear with a cupboard in btweeen with built in Fridge.
SAt down and wrote a list of the stuff left to do on it and it covered 2 sides of A4 paper, bit depressing, but atleast now I have a list I can tick things off while getting it ready for MOT.
Will keep you posted.
