I agree with you on the facilities could be better also if you do have a problem with other campers or asbo's i've seen them made to leave or not let back on.But at the end of the day if your not willing to report them to the warden then its a putup and shutup type of thing.Peronally its ok for a weekend. :D

Sorry to hear of your woes at Shell Island, please dont be put off going again ,
We have Been 3 times for our jollies and enjoyed every one esp The little Chicken George,OK granted the fac could be better ,but hey i only want fresh water and somewhere to empty the toilet The shop to be fair are not rip of prices and have everything imaginable.
If your camping in the dunes that can be noisy ,they call it party central and the main camping fields nr the the middle can be hectis in peak /bank holls season,
We tend to camp nr the front/beach ,there is lots of litlle nooks n crannys it is a massive place after all :D

I would go again ,just my penneth werth.

The warden said "oh well", when I told him what was going on. They're obviously more interested in the cash they're pulling in than the quality of the people (ASBO scum) who frequent the place. No offence to any of the posters on this forum who feel at home there.....obviously.

maybe we picked a bad time as others have rated it, but I havnt got the time to give sites a second chance,

Quite right. No need to go to dives like that when there are so many great sites (with much better views, but less scum) in the area.

It sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about that s***hole.
