We planned a route for the Hemerdon site over the weekend, and ruled out this one:

This is how it looked after some digging:

Roger managed to drive out in the end. That'll teach Roger for trying to follow a Buggy and a Baja. ;)

Seriously though, it's a great site with a whole range of difficultly (easy to challenging) - anyone coming will have a great time. :D

Things are looking good!

New head gasket and a different head, new glow plugs and all seals etc and all is running well.

Bash plate is back on, so im feeling fairly ready for action (fingers crossed).

Might only be able to make the sunday though, got to set up a gig on saturday afternoon in plymouth, so it might be cutting it a bit fine.

Thought i might leave the van at the campsite while the gig is on though and get a taxi back once the gig has finished. (4am.... )
Wheres the campsite...far out of town??
And what time do we start on the sunday morn? Just wondering how many ZZZ's im gonna be able to catch........

With much regret I wont be able to make this weekend - my version of an intercooler charge pipe keeps coming apart resulting in clouds of black smoke.
Tried everthing to patch it up but I've admitted defeat - will have to get a proper one made.
Have fun....
Doug

Doug, I have numerous lengths of geniune VW charge pipe off GTD's and other vehicles, left over from the installation on my pickup. Maybe I can bring them to yours 'en-route' and get you sorted ???

Going to work for 1 hour in the morning and then we're off.

Doug, bad luck give us a ring.

In fairness to Roger that route was pretty dry on the weekend of Volksfest - not at all like the weekend he got stuck.
