Cab Doors

Post by DaisyAirHead »

Hello All,
Just a quick posting.
I am spending a bit of time tackling bodywork issues on the old girl.
I have been offered some secondhand doors which are a lot better than mine(from a 1985/86 model year I think) with loads less rot at the vulnerable lower skins. If they fit it would be much less time consuming than repairing my originals
Daisy(guess what colour she is!!) is a 1981 2 litre a/c Holdsworth camper. Will any doors fit her or did VW do something strange like changing doors/fixings/hinges etc at any time during the T25 production run.
:?: :D
Regards
Hmm How much did you say?For that you gotto be joking....

If you have the chance to fit some doors in a better condition than the originals then go for that option....

I am almost certain that the cab door are inter changeable (Hinges /catches etc) across the range of european made vans.

Fritz........
One day you will find me,,
Driving in my Camper,
With a Surf and Paisley wrap on both sides....

Thanks Fritz,

Yes, it would seem that the sliding doors are the ones that do differ between early and later vans.Cab doors are the same.

Regards John :)
