Fitting sliding door seal

Post by asahartz »

OK, I've just got the new door seals for my bus, but as I didn't have any before I have nothing to refer to!

Does the short "flattened" section on the vertical go at the back or the front?

It looks simple enough to fit otherwise (apart from unbolting the door) - unless anyone knows anything I don't?

We replaced the sliding door seal on our previous van - we found fitting easier if we cut the seal at the bottom to aviod taking the sliding door off. The only way I can describe the door catch bit is to say that the thicker bit points inwards (if you know what I mean!). I will provide pics if it helps

But does it go at the front or the back?

Hope this helps, the flattened part goes at the front:

Excellent; that's what I needed to know. The door will probably have to come off anyway as the alignment is way out, and I've got to work out how to fix the handle.
