Sink Tap / Battery, water level indicator panel

Post by Allan344 »

Recently my westfalia sink tap has stopped pumping water in conjunction with the lights on the water level/battery level indicator panel going out. Checked the wiring and fuse thinking it might be a prob there. Removed the fuse and put the same fuse back and then it started working. It doesnt make sense. Think i might still have an intermitent fault. Any body had similar probs and knows the answer. Cheers.Allan

Mine seems to stop working like that-turn on the tap and all the battery lights go out. My leisure battery is goosed so that doesn't help, so I pluged the electric hook up and tried it then. It still did the lights, but I found if I er, hit it a few times it started working and all the lights came back on! I think my pump is just on its last legs and I can't see how to strip it down so I think I might need a new one.

Try the wiring that sits in the small cupboard, and connects to your water tank. My wiring there has a loose ish connection/broken wire, and occasionally stops the pump from working. Realigning this wiring cures the snag, so I would suspect a breakdown in your wiring somewhere in this area. As your panel lights go out as well, it would seem to reinforce the assumption.

Good hunting :D
