Golf Mark 3 1Y in a T25?

Post by Jonathan »

Any one out there got an opinion on putting a reconditioned 1.9 1Y engine from a Golf mark 3 into replace a 1.6 turbo? Reckon it's a good idea? Any one using one already?

i got 1y in min, read the wiki etc on it, converted from a na so the little power increase was hardly noticable, the torques is great though, 65mph at 45MPG all day, im happy. if your not fitting the turbo you need loada NA plumbin, too much hastle imo, get a AAZ and enjoy the extra bhps.

good luck wot ever u decide
