Oil Leak
Check your dipstick as well, I have 16 diesel and my dipstick seal had gone so the oil was blowing out of there onto the exhaust causing lots of mess on back. New dipstick done the job.

I think there are signs of oil coming out of the dipstick.
Had a look on JustKampers for a new one, couldn't see one that was specific to my engine.
DJZ -where did you get yours from?

AquaMan + kids wrote:Hi all,
Well decided to have a go at the gasket today.
Got the rocker cover off and found a very tired looking gasket, but it also looked like there was previously some sort of sealant.
So next question is do I apply sealant?
And is there any particular type of sealant I should use?
Just in case the above question was missed, I have reposted it.
Basically do I need sealant for the rocker cover gasket?

Take the cam cover off again and make sure the gasket is fitted correctly. As for the broken bolt. Is there any thread sticking up from the head or has it broken off flush with the top of the head. If broken off flush then it will be a whole lot more difficult to get out than if you have a bit to try and grab. If there is thread then get some mole grips or pliers and try and unscrew. If it's leaking worse than before you can only go back and look at what has been messed with. Where or what area is it now leaking from? Good luck.
